The UAE is ranked the second globally after Iceland as the safest country to travel, according to a report published by «Lonely Planet» website, based on reports compiled by the World Economic Forum and the global risk report, which drove the rates of crime, natural disasters, health and terrorism.
The UAE, described in the report as very safe scored 6.6 equal to Iceland’s score in the crime. Singapore came in the third place, Spain fourth and Australia fifth while Morocco and Jordan came in 7-8, respectively.
In terms of natural disasters risk, the UAE was ranked the third after Barbados and Iceland. The report stated that parts of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region are considered secure by many standards than many popular holiday destinations.
