Gulf man murdered his friend at his house

A 37-year-old Gulf young man stabbed his friend to death in his hand with a knife, while the victim was visiting him at his house, due to a brawl about the victim brother`s car.

In detail, the Dubai Public Prosecution referred the defendant to Criminal Court yesterday, as it was found that the knife stab had caused a cut of an artery in the left hand, which resulted in the stopping of the heart muscle and the blood circulation leading to the victim`s death.

A witness from the Dubai Police stated in the investigations that he contributed in arresting the defendant and his friend who help him to escape after a report was received about a physical assault incident in Al Mizhar 1 Area, and he found the victim unconscious and covered in blood in the crime scene.

The victim`s friend stated that he accompanied him to the defendant’s house where they saw the victim’s brother’s car, so the victim called his brother and informed him about the car, in the meantime the defendant came out and asked them to leave the villa. An argument instantly ignited between the two, causing the accused to impulsively stab the victim.

The defendant stated in the investigations that he was at his house when he had received a call from the victim’s brother asking him about the car, and told him that the victim was waiting outside, so he went to him and an argument ignited between them, so the victim insulted him, tried to stab him with a knife, and the defendant snatched the knife and stabbed him with it In self-defense. He left with his friend, who helped him to escape.
