The “court” grants a defendant an opportunity to get a new job

Abu Dhabi Misdemeanor Court accepted a sponsorship request submitted by an Asian defendant to grant her an opportunity to get new job and pay the financial amount she had embezzled. In detail, an Asian woman was accused of embezzling an amount of AED 15,000 which she had received from the complainant to complete the recruitment process of an Asian maid.

During the hearing, the defendant admitted receiving the amount from the complainant to complete the recruitment process of an Asian maid and sent about AED 7,000 to a person who works in the recruitment field in her country, but then she discovered his lack of commitment and evasion from returning the amount transferred to him.

The defendant confirmed that she has the remainder of the amount, and requested the court to sponsor her, and grant her time to start her new job, once she receives her monthly salary she will pay the full amount. The court decided to sponsor the defendant with her passport, and give her a deadline to pay until March 12.
