‘Islamic Affairs’ in Sharjah actives smart platforms during Ramadan

The Directorate of Islamic Affairs in Sharjah has announced the organisation of a set of various programmes and advocacy activities on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The Directorate has employed its smart platforms in all its Ramadan programmes, including lectures, mosque lessons, Sharia questions, publications, advocacy and awareness clips.

The department indicated that it had started its awareness programmes before entering the Holy Month of Ramadan by offering legal courses remotely, using the Zoom programme platform and the direct broadcast feature in the Instagram application.

The department activated the live video broadcast via its account on the Instagram platform, for daily lectures and Ramadan thoughts presented by a number of preachers of the department.

It also directed imams of mosques in the emirate of Sharjah towards direct interaction with worshipers and mosque-goers in residential neighbourhoods, and contacted them to broadcast mosque lessons remotely through the Zoom platform.

As for the children’s category, the department has started broadcasting its awareness-raising seminars, “Teach Me Religious”, in its exceptional new version for this year.

In the interest of the department to educate the communities, the department allocated various platforms for non-Arabic communities in various languages such as English and Urdu, as the department provides them with a set of lessons and daily direct lectures.
