Six Asians arrested for storing goods in a labor accommodation

Bur Dubai Police Station managed to arrest 6 Asians who stored various goods in two rooms inside a labor accommodation, weighing 3.5 tons for selling in random markets.

Brigadier Al Suwaidi, Director of Jebel Ali Police station, stated that they had received a tip-off about three vehicles loaded with various types of goods, such as gifts, food, clothes, smoking and tobacco products for the purpose of selling them in random markets, violating the laws and regulations enforced in the Emirate of Dubai.

The director of Jebel Ali Police Station had immediately formed a team in cooperation with Dubai Municipality to seize and confiscate the goods before being introduced to the market and distributed among peddlers.

The three vehicles drivers’ were arrested and guided to the storage rooms which were inside a labor accommodation of a contracting company. The three other defendants who were trying to transfer the goods to another place were also arrested at the scene.

The gang members admitted that they had stored the goods illegally without observing any safety requirements for the purpose of selling them in random markets.

Brigadier Al-Suwaidi calls on the public to refrain from buying any products that are sold in random markets as they lack adopted health standards.
