Dubai: Driver jailed, to be deported for harassing two children

Dubai Criminal Court sentenced an Asian driver to six months in prison and deportation from the country after serving his sentence after he was found guilty of harassing two children in an electronics store.

The first victim, an 8 year-old girl, stated that while she was accompanied by her father in one of the electronics stores, the defendant approached her and harassed her several times, she told him to get away from her. The defendant was scared and did get away.

However, in the same store, the girl watched him go to the second victim and harass him too, The 13-year-old victim confirmed her statement in his testimony during the interrogation. He said that while he was with his father in the shop, checking mobile phones, the defendant approached him from the back and harassed him. The victim asked him if there were something and if he is okay.

The defendant then went away from him, but returned shortly to repeat his act. The victim rushed and went to tell his father what had happened.
