Dubai: 15 people injured in a crash accident due to overtaking

15 people injured in a crash accident between two vehicles this morning (one of which was a minivan), near Saih Shuaib. The initial inspection revealed that the accident occurred due to overtaking.

According to Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of the General Department of Traffic Police, the Command and Control room at the General Department of Operations, received a report on a crash accident involving two vehicles this morning (one of which was a minivan), near Saih Shuaib, so police patrols and ambulances rushed to the scene immediately.

Brigadier General Al Mazrouei added, “4 passengers suffered severe injuries, 7 sustained moderate injuries while 4 had minor injuries. First aid and medical services were provided to the injured, while critical cases were transferred to the hospital.”

Brigadier General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei calls on drivers to adhere to traffic laws, not to overtake other vehicles in a dangerous way, and warns of the sudden swerving and distraction while driving, in order to preserve the lives and safety of road users.
