Sharjah: Worker’s body recovered after crane crash

Rescue teams in the General Command of Sharjah Police and the General Directorate of Civil Defense in Sharjah recovered the body of the Indian worker who died in the crane crash accident, after the crane, loaded with tonnes of concrete collapsed on him at a construction site in Al Nahda area on Saturday night, his body was then transferred to the criminal laboratory in the Emirate.

The medical team at Al Qasimi Hospital in Sharjah confirmed that a 26-year-old Pakistani, who was injured in the same accident, was admitted to the hospital, still in a critical condition and is receiving intensive care in the hospital’s ICU.

The authorities began investigating the incident to identify the reasons behind it and to determine any criminal responsibility in the incident.
