How does the Working days system support the labor market?

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation:

• Institutions, companies and private establishments should make the best use of the new system through the possibility of amending their working hours systems in line with the nature of their activities. At the same time ensuring a motivating working environment that supports family stability.

• The decree stipulated that workers in the private sector must be granted at least one paid rest day without the law determining a specific day in the week. The rest day must be agreed upon in the employment contract or the facility’s work regulations with the possibility of increasing the weekly rest days at the facility’s discretion or according to a decision from the cabinet.
