Partnership agreement between the UAE and Turkey to cooperate on defence projects

In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, a partnership agreement was signed today between Tawazun Economic Council and Turkish Defense Industries (SSB) to cooperate on defence projects.

Signed by His Excellency Tareq Abdulraheem Al Hosani, CEO of Tawazun Economic Council and Dr. Ismail Demir, President of Turkish Defense Industries (SSB), the agreement will see the partners establish a Defense Industry Cooperation Committee, which will focus on the creation of joint development programs, as well as research and development (R&D) and knowledge exchange in the defence and security sectors in both countries.
