Sharjah: Arab university student harasses 12-year-old child

Sharjah Criminal Court has adjourned the case of an Arab university student for attempting to rape a 12-year-old boy after he threatened and beat him in a residential building on October 10th.

case details reveal that the defendant watched the child playing in a building in the Abu Shagara area in Sharjah accompanied by his peers. After the child finished playing, he went up to the building’s staircase. The defendant approached and harassed him, but the child showed resistance and tried to scream, but the defendant closed his mouth and threatened to beat him if he did not calm down. The frightened child continued to resist until he was able to escape and go home.

The father of the child filed a complaint at the police station, and the accused denied the charges against him to the court.
