Engineer Muhammad Shawkat Odeh, Director of the International Astronomy Center: Most Islamic countries will observe Ramadan crescent on Friday, 29 Sha’ban, corresponding to 1 April. There is no possibility to see the crescent with the naked eye, but it will barely be seen using the telescope.
Accordingly, most countries will announce the beginning of Ramadan on the following day, which is Saturday, April 2, and it will last for 30 days.
