Saturday to be first day of Muharram 1444 Hijri: Saudi Supreme Court

 The Saudi Supreme Court announced today that the day after tomorrow, Saturday, will be the first day of the month of Muharram for 1444 Hijri, according to Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to July 30 2022, as the crescent of the month of Muharram had not been sighted today.

It added that this means that tomorrow Friday will be the completion of the month of Dhul-Hijjah 1443 Hijri according to Umm al-Qura calendar, corresponding to July 29, 2022, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
