Sharjah Airport Police arrest passenger with AED 430,000 gold jewelry

Sharjah Airport Police arrests an Asian traveler in his thirties while departing for his homeland on charges of misappropriating others’ property.

After the inspection, it was found that he possessed gold jewelry estimated at AED 430,000, which he hid among his personal belongings without invoices or papers proving his ownership.

Investigations revealed that he had found the gold in one of the sandy areas and seized it without referring to the security authorities to hand them over.
