Dubai Healthcare City Authority (DHCA), the governing body of the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) free zone, has announced that its online transactions increased by 50% this week as a result of its participation in ‘A Week Without Service Centres’ initiative, which concluded yesterday.
In line with the Dubai Government’s objective of smart transformation by 2021, the initiative, launched by the Dubai Department of Finance, aims to encourage customers to turn to smart channels to complete government transactions.
Supporting the initiative, DHCA promoted e-services portal, Masaar, which offers more than 170 digital medical and commercial services.
Dr. Ramadan AlBlooshi, CEO, Dubai Healthcare City Authority – Regulatory (DHCR), said, “To help transform Dubai into one of the world’s smartest cities, we in Dubai Healthcare City Authority, are committed to full digital transformation through our eservice portal Masaar. Initiatives such as ‘A Week Without Service Centers’ play an important role in achieving complete digital transformation as it changes customer behaviour.”
Currently, 97% of all DHCR’s services are digitised, including professional and commercial licenses, inspection and medical services, and visa applications. A total of 44,000 smart transactions have been successfully completed via Masaar, since its launch in January 2017.
