Sharjah Ruler directs disbursement of AED 36 million to emirate’s clubs

H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed the disbursement of a generous grant of AED 36 million as a reward to the clubs in the emirate of Sharjah that accomplished sporting achievements in the past season (2023-2024).

This comes in appreciation of the contributions of the club teams and to motivate their players to continue their excellence in achieving titles and championships locally and internationally at the level of team and individual games.

The Sharjah Ruler directed that the grant, which is the largest in the history of the emirate of Sharjah and its clubs, be disbursed immediately so that sports clubs can benefit from it in preparing for the new sports season, supporting their sports games, and preparing players for upcoming events, in order to accomplish more achievements and titles at the local and continental levels.

The grant included 19 clubs in the Emirate that won titles and championships last season, as follows: 10 sports clubs: Sharjah, Kalba, Kalba Football Company, Al Batayeh, Khorfakkan, Al Hamriyah, Dibba Al Hisn, Al Dhaid, Al Madam, Mleiha, in addition to 8 specialised clubs: Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club, Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club, Sharjah International Marine Sports Club, Sharjah Cultural and Chess Club, Chess and Cultural Club for Sharjah Women, Al Thiqah for the Disabled, Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, Sharjah Falconers Club, along with Sharjah Women’s Sports Club.
