His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, Chaired the last Cabinet meeting 2024 at Qasr Al Watan.

Mohammed bin Rashid:

  • Today, I chaired the last Cabinet meeting 2024 at Qasr Al Watan. This year has been one of blessings, excellence, prosperity, and stability for the UAE—a year marked by unprecedented economic growth and sustained global competitiveness.
  • In 2024, the UAE achieved remarkable milestones, ranking first globally in 223 international development indicators and placing among the top five in 444 key indicators across critical sectors. These included business and economic environments, infrastructure, digital transformation, talent mobility, foreign investments, fintech, exports, trade, tourism, technology and others.
  • We approved the governance system for the Education, Human Development and Community Council, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and Deputy Sheikha Mariam bint Mohammed bin Zayed. It includes seven members from the Ministers, executive and specialized committees, and sectoral committees for higher education, private education, and the social sector.
  • We have also approved the establishment of the UAE Entrepreneurship Council, to be chaired by Alia Al Mazrouei. Additionally, a fund of AED 300 million has been allocated to support youth-led projects and encourage young talents to explore opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship.
  • During today’s Cabinet meeting, we approved the launch of a AED 7 million award for federal government employees for zero bureaucracy. We will honor work teams, individuals and federal entities that submit projects to shorten government procedures, save financial resources and reduce regulatory burdens on companies and individuals.

  • We will honor and celebrate those who simplify transactions, reduce steps, and make government processes more efficient, ultimately saving time and effort for the public.
  • We have approved the National Policy for Preserving the UAE’s Modern Architectural Heritage, aimed at safeguarding the cultural, national, and historical significance of urban structures and buildings that define the country’s unique architectural identity. Currently, 130 sites and buildings have been designated for preservation, with plans to expand this number to 1,000 in the coming years.
