Sharjah Criminal Court received the case of theft in a residential apartment after an Arab man claimed he entered the house to repair windows and kitchen cabinets while the owner of the flat was not there.
Details of the case, which happened in September, reveal that when the complainant went on vacation and found the main door of his apartment broken and many things in the house were damaged when he came back. Fingerprints of the accused were found by the police at the flat.
The accused claimed that he knew the complainant and finding his fingerprints at the flat was normal as he entered the flat in the absence of the owner to repair doors and kitchen cabinet. He also claimed that when he entered the flat there were maid and children inside.
The complainant denied all the defendant’s claims, stated that he did not have a maid, and that he saw the accused for the first time at the police station. The court adjourned the case to next month for judgment.
