Sharjah Police has rescued a 35-year-old Asian mother and her seven-year-old daughter after an Arab national attacked them with a knife claiming it was due to some family problems he was having, the attack and murder incident happened in Al Butaina area as a 43-year-old Arabic man was killed trying to help the mother and her daughter.
A report of the incident was sent to Sharjah Police at 11:00 AM on Wednesday. A number of police patrols immediately rushed to the scene and the man was arrested, the woman and her child were also transferred to the hospital for treatment.
Investigations revealed that the attacker came to the UAE with a visit visa, and when he was asked why he attacked the victims, he did not give a clear explanation, but pointed out that he had some family problems and was in a state of extreme distress when he decided to leave his place with a knife in hand.
