Abu Dhabi: American chooses to be treated in the UAE instead of his home country

The UAE is ranked first in the world in 50 indicators covering various sectors of society and vital services, according to the Global Competitiveness Index – 2017/2018.

In an interesting medical case, US citizen Michael Bolton, 66, who works for a nuclear power project in the UAE, has asked for treatment in the UAE instead of traveling home for treatment after he was admitted to the emergency room at the specialized NMC Hospital in Abu Dhabi with heavy pain in his abdomen.

Upon check-up, it was discovered that he has a mass in the pancreas, with several other illnesses, doctors have suspected that he has pancreatic cancer, spreading to the liver.
