Dubai: Asian man arrested for stealing from mosques’ donation boxes

An unemployed Asian man in his 30’s has been arrested for stealing donation boxes from mosques in Dubai.

Brigadier Yousef Al Adidi, Director of Al Qusais Police Station, stated that a complaint was received about the theft from five donation boxes from mosques.Al Adidi also suggested that the proximity of the stolen mosque boxes to each other indicated that the thief is either living in the area or was committing his crime on foot.

Police teams were tasked to arrest the thief, therefore, security was tightened around the mosques and the accused got arrested.

The man confessed that he attends prayers in the mosques for the purpose of stealing.
