Dubai: Five Asians pose as security men, kidnap 11-year-old boy

Dubai Public Prosecution revealed yesterday that five Asians have threatened the life of an 11-year-old boy and put him in danger by kidnapping him while on a ride to school with a company driver.

According to investigations, the men were waiting for the vehicle as they knew the driver carried an amount of money to transfer it for the company he works with. One of the accused, who worked for the same company, told them that the driver transferred money from the company to the bank.

When the driver arrived to a specified location, the men followed him with a car that had a blue light, similar to the one used by security personnel, the men posed as security officers and started searching the clueless driver. Then, they drove the car after asking the child to get out, the boy refused and cried in fear and panic, but they removed him from the car about 200 meters away and fled. Despite their efforts, the driver managed to stop the vehicle and call the police.
