Emergency weather condition in Ras Al Khaimah

Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan, Chief of RAK Police, Head of the Local Emergency and Crisis Management Team at RAK, said that the team, in cooperation with all concerned authorities in the Emirate and the rescue teams in Abu Dhabi and Dubai police departments, has announced the end of the severe weather and rain conditions in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

His Excellency General Bin Alwan praised the efforts of the teams over the past two days and the results of minimizing the effects of heavy rains that affected the houses of some areas in the Emirate. Some roads were paved and water was pumped from the streets and houses, food and aid were also distributed to some of those affected, and about 20 families were accommodated and housed in some hotels in coordination with the Red Crescent Authority.
