The Dubai Prosecution referred a 26-year-old unemployed GCC national to trial on charges of forgery, use of a fake ID to get three smartphones after taking the victim’s ID claiming to use it for treating one of his sons at the hospital. He then went to a telecommunications company, presented his friend’s ID, and forged his signature to receive 3 SIM cards and 3 smartphones in his name.

The victim was surprised when he discovered he owed the company about 20 thousand dirhams, but the employee was able to identify the accused.
