Arab woman asks for a divorce, gets surprised with an adultery case

An Arab woman was surprised by her husband accusing her of marital infidelity while serving a prison sentence following a case in which he was sentenced. The defendant said: “I filed a divorce lawsuit against my husband, a GCC national who is in prison. He asked me to visit him before the divorce, during the visit, he accused me of not being faithful to him, I lost my temper and falsely admitted to his accusation.”

The husband allegedly did so with the aim of getting the custody of their children. The court fined the wife AED 2,000 for her confession of infidelity during her visit to her husband in prison.

The wife’s lawyer confirmed that there is no evidence proving the wife’s infidelity.
