A five-year-old boy lost his life in Al Ain city. He was found inside an old vehicle owned by his family. Preliminary investigations revealed that the child got in the vehicle through the back and locked it. The family took him to the hospital but he was declared dead.
Meziad Police station received a report from the command centre in the central operations of Abu Dhabi Police about the incident. Abu Dhabi police warned against the risk of leaving cars open and leaving children inside the vehicles alone, in a situation that could cause their death or suffocation as a result of high temperatures in the summer heat, or due to the lack of oxygen inside the vehicle. In addition to the risk of children moving the vehicle by tampering with the car’s transmission.
