Dubai Criminal Court sentenced an Asian man to three years in prison after he saved a female child from sexual assault by discovering that she was living with a fake father who forced her to practice vice. He tried to rescue her and told the police, but the investigation found that he was involved in a sexual relationship with her.
Dubai Court of Appeals had upheld a 15-year prison sentence for an Asian employee (the 49-year-old fake father) after being convicted of exploiting the girl and forcing her into prostitution after he brought her with forged documents, manipulated her age, and claimed to be her father. The man was charged with human trafficking, forced prostitution, the administration of a brothel and the exploitation of the girl.
The Court of Appeals also upheld a sentence of three years’ imprisonment for the young man who had fallen in love with the girl when he visited the brothel and told the police to save her.
